ABOUT OUR CAMPS:
Our Performing Arts Academy’s summer camp is the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and theatre education with a performance at the end of the week! Each day of camp will be filled with fun, reviewing material for the final performance. Students will gain experience in acting, singing, and dance through rehearsals and scene work. Camp is a great time to get to know other students in the area with similar interests.

Rock Around the 50s!

We will be offering a week-long musical summer camp session this summer for kids in grades 1-9.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Hello Baaaaaaaaaby! Get ready to rock around the clock with songs and a throwback to the era of sock hops, Elvis, and doo-wop. Slip on your saddle shoes and slick back that hair – it’s time to twist, bop, and jive through the fabulous 1950s! Guided by our trusty jukebox sidekicks, campers will explore the golden age of rock ’n’ roll with fun facts, funky dance moves, and toe-tapping tunes. Featuring classic hits like Rock Around the Clock, Jailhouse Rock, La Bamba, and more, this high-energy musical celebrates the iconic music, style, and spirit of the decade that defined rock ‘n’ roll.
So grab your leather jacket – it’s gonna be a blast from the past!

Camp Monday - Thursday will be held at The Snug Theatre (160 S. Water Street, Marine City, MI 48039), Friday and Saturday will be at The Boardwalk Theatre in Saint Clair (109 S. 3rd St. Saint Clair, MI 48079).

Saturday Performance Time, 11:00 AM
Attendance Policy: Attendance each day of camp is required in order to participate in the Saturday performance.
Enrollment Fee: $250.00. Includes one week of camp, camp t-shirt, and 4 complimentary tickets to the final performance at Boardwalk Theatre. Extra tickets are $5 each.
Students should bring easy, mess-free snacks Monday-Thursday.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Carol and Ashley are expecting a tale of woe as they take their seats to watch Hamlet, but the real tragedy is that they’re sitting next to the world’s noisiest weirdos. The audience takes the spotlight as everyone from a cough-drop obsessive to a guy watching the play like a football game steals the show from the unseen Shakespearean masterpiece. An outrageously meta comedy that reminds us where the drama belongs - onstage.
The Academy at ThumbCoast Theaters is excited for our 2025 Upper Level Summer Camp! Each day of camp will be filled with fun reviewing material for the final performance. Students will gain experience in acting and character work through rehearsals and scenework. Camp is a great time to get to know other students in the area with similar interests.
We are thrilled to be offering one 7th - 12th grade summer camp session in the month of July. Students of all levels are welcome and encouraged to join! Appropriate Audience Behavior is a Comedic One-Act.
Enrollment Fee
$250 per student
- Includes one week of camp, camp t-shirt & 4 complimentary tickets to the final performance. Extra tickets can be purchased for $5 each.
