Theater For Youth, Performed By Youth
Program Overview
Youth4Youth is our auditioned-in group for students in grades 3-12 who have grown the most in our program. The Youth4Youth program is modeled after ThumbCoast Theater’s Main Stage Productions, preparing students for what professional theatre looks like. Because of this, the rehearsal and production process for Youth4Youth shows is very fast-paced. This program is intended to help students get accustomed to what goes into putting on a production. The Youth4Youth students work hands-on the entire process and assist in producing the show in avenues like designing and tech operation, props, costumes, set design and set build, lights, sound, media, and many others.
Shows produced by the Academy’s Youth4Youth program are geared towards young audiences. Youth4Youth allows students to introduce theatre to young kids to inspire them and introduce them to the arts.

‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS mUSICAL
ABOUT THE SHOW
It's four days before Christmas, and the New York Evening Post needs a holiday feature story. President James Monroe is counting on reading it to his family on Christmas Day. But Writer Clement Moore has writer's block. Besides that, he must work at home amongst his five children who are, needless to say, very anxious for St. Nicholas to arrive. Clement's frustration mounts -- then the magic begins. The sounds of bells, moving toys and visions of Sugar Plum Fairies all conspire to help Clement, as the events from the classic poem come to life. Interwoven with carolers, a song to St. Nicholas, dancing fairies and much more, including, of course, a visit from the old elf himself, this delightful musical concludes with the complete original poem set to exquisite music. This fresh telling of the most popular Christmas poem ever told will delight audiences of all ages.

DISNEY’S DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL | 2023
The 2023 Youth4Youth Production was Disney’s Descendants The Musical. This Youth4Youth Program offered (3) opportunities for our Academy students. They participated in an Audition Prep Workshop to hone their audition skills, participated in a full Audition and Callback, and those students who were cast in the musical participated in production rehearsals and performances.
